The North White Oak neighborhood is conveniently located within walking distance of the White Oak Library, Jackson Road Elementary School,and White Oak Middle School. Springbrook High School and the White Oak Shopping Center are less than a mile away.

The Martin Luther King Jr. Recreational Park offers outdoor and indoor swimming pools, tennis and basketball courts, hard surface walking and biking trails, a lake, and baseball, football, and soccer fields. The hard surface walking trails within the Park connect to the Paint Branch Stream Trail which leads to Fairland Road. The Rachael Carson Greenway Trail is within walking distance in the Northwest Branch Park. The White Oak Community Recreation Center is also located nearby at 1700 April Lane.
