North White Oak Civic Association

The North White Oak Civic Association participates in the Maryland State Highway Administration's "Adopt A Highway" Program where volunteers periodically remove litter from along Colesville Road (US 29) between the New Hampshire Avenue (MD 650) interchange and the Paint Branch Bridge. 

We publicize these Saturday morning litter clean ups through the posting of street signs and our Listserv. Orange safety vests and Adopt-a-Highway caps are provided.  Please sign up for our Listserv on the "Contact" page of this Web site to learn about these volunteer opportunities. Helping out with our litter removal project is a great way to get to know your neighbors. Also, Student Learning Service Credit is available for this activity.
